A Peaceful Country, Nepal

Nepal is known as the place for finding peace and beauty. It is a one-stop spiritual destination. Every activity here revolves around finding yourself, seeking your roots, whether it be practicing yoga or going on a mighty trek or just visiting a temple. People travel to Nepal with a purpose of having relaxation from their busy schedule and enjoy the beauty as well as to enhance the creativity. However, lack of infrastructures and proper road tourist has been decreased slightly because despite of one’s desire to visit Nepal, the proper place to stay and have a comfortable travel has become one’s barrier on travelling.

So, focusing that spiritual tourism would help to bring high number of tourists to Nepal with the development of infrastructure, the four-day travel mart was proposed during the 3rd edition of Himalaya Travel Mart underway in the capital, Kathmandu. The event was conducted from June 7- June 9. Accordingly, a trans-border deliberation took place about spiritual tourism in the major session of the conference on Friday. For the event, renowned religious preachers from Nepal, India and Bhutan delivered lectures where Indian spiritual guru Shree Shivakripananda Swami gave a special lecture. Moreover, Spirituality from top of the world and Spiritual Tourism in the Himalaya were brought as the session leads for the deliberation. Apart from session leads, experts such as LB Bhanu Sharma, Bhaidhadhara Acharya, Mahayogi Sridhar Rana Rimpoche made presentation on the spiritual tourism and possibilities in Nepal.

Similarly, in other sessions of the mega event founder of World Trail Network Galeo Saintz, International Airlines Ambassador Nancy Rivads and former Secretary Dr Sudha Sharma shared their experiences about responsible and sustainable tourism while Chair of Travel Bloggers Association Janicke Hansen, travel expert William Vazquez and communications expert Paul Pruangkarn were present who talked about new trends in tourism and hospitality sector.

Thus, the event was conducted with the goal to bring tourism from India and Bhutan too with the believe that spiritual tourism has potential in country, Nepal. On this event 700 delegates from 43 countries took part with the major slogan of ‘speed of the Himalaya’. With the achievement of the motive set, the program finally concluded on June 9, 2019.
