Thousand Steps (Hajar Sindhi)

Starting from Dhulikhel bazaar and climbing the thousand steps stairs, you reach a hilltop where there is the temple of goddess Kali. You can enjoy a spectacular view of Panchkhal valley along with mountain and sunrise views from the point.

 

Panauti

It takes a three hours’ walk from Dhulikhel to reach Panauti. Located about 36 k.m. southeast of Kathmandu, Panauti is a living heritage. Walk up the hill to reach Gorakhnath temple, the picturesque ancient town looks stunning from the top. Ancient carvings can be seen in Indreshwor Mahadev, while Panauti museum and Triveni Ghat are other attractions of the place. Khopasi is about a 20-minute drive from Panauti. Explore nature at its best by further hiking to Balthali, which is about an hour’s hike from Khopasi.

 

Adventure

The Bhotekoshi River at Sindupalchowk is about an hour’s drive from Dhulikhel. From rafting to bungee jumping, canyon swing, or high ropes, the place offers large number of adventure sports. Several companies and resorts organize adventure activities here.
