Beijing Capital International Airport, the first international airport in Beijing but the new international Airport; Beijing Daxing International Airport has become the second as well as the world’s biggest Airport.

Daxing Airport is located at the frontier between Beijing and Langfang, Hebei Province and is expected to serve the needs of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei areas. Its location was selected after thorough analysis. Build on a 2,679.01ha (6,620 acres) site located with a 46km-distance from Tiananmen Square, a 67km-distance from Beijing International Airport and a 26km-distance from Langtang City Center, Daxing Airport aims to become the main airport hub of the region. This is the north china’s commercial aviation hub which was opened for operation on September, 2019 after more than four years construction.

Daxing International Airport which is built with a design of starfish shape has as four civilian runways and one military runway. It is the first airport in the world with double-deck departure and arrival platforms.  As per the reports, this airport would be using facial recognition for secure access in the Airport and radio frequency identification devices for baggage tracking. The terminal also features inquiry robots.  Not only on technology spending, the airport has been designed in such a way so to save the natural energy as it incorporates energy-saving green concepts, allowing natural light into the building and also use of more than 10% Renewable energy. Moreover, the departure lounge of an airport open to five courtyards designed in ancient Chinese-style, featuring silk, tea, porcelain, courtside and Chinese gardens.

Thus, Beijing International Airport which was the first and only international airport before had been difficult to hold the most populated passengers of about 82 million according to the 2012 records and also it had been unable to expand. So, to serve the huge population in China, second international Airport Daxing International Airport was operated having a capacity of handling more than 100 million passengers a year which is also regarded as the world’s biggest airport run with many runways and advanced technology as well as eco-friendly. In gist, the distinctive star-shaped layout Daxing International Airport of China is said as would be busiest international transport hub leading in country’s rapidly growing civil aviation market.
